<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical body to be heated in which uneven heating in a circumferential direction is prevented; heating efficiency is improved; and harmful combustion products are reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A reformer which is a cylindrical body to be heated comprises a catalyst layer 7 formed in a hollow cylindrical shape, a bottom plate 9 which closes one end side of the catalyst layer 7, a cylindrical partition wall 4 which is arranged concentrically with the catalyst layer 7 at the inner circumference side of the catalyst layer 7 and has a clearance between it and a bottom plate 9, a tubular flame burner 2 which is arranged on the central axis of the catalyst layer 7, forms a tubular flame 8 by burning a fuel toward the bottom plate 9 to heat the inner wall of the partition wall 4 by the tubular flame 8 and heat the inner wall of the partition wall 4 by a rotating flow and a recycle flow of an exhaust gas formed by the tubular flame 8. The catalyst layer 7 is heated by a radiant heat from the partition wall 4 and an exhaust gas passing between the partition wall 4 and the catalyst layer 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
