<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device which avoids the risk of curling and chipping of a blade over time and fulfills such an economical and stable cleaning function as not to require useless toner consumption, with respect to a cleaning device in an image forming apparatus, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The cleaning device has: a cleaning blade which comprises an elastic body and is brought into contact with a deposit remaining on a photoreceptor after transfer of a toner image to remove the deposit; a cleaning brush which rotates in the same direction as the photoreceptor to remove residual toner on the photoreceptor; and a flicker which drops the residual toner sticking to the cleaning brush, wherein the cleaning device has a plurality of such flickers and at least one of the flickers is disposed in such a way that the photoreceptor is present in a separation direction of toner remaining on the flicker. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
