<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming apparatus that ensures stable adjustment of chromaticity by eliminating the effect of a color patch formed on the back of a detection face when subjecting both sides of a media to chromaticity adjustment or absolute chromaticity adjustment by means of a color sensor disposed in the color image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The color patches for detection are formed so that the color patch on the front face of a medium and that on the back face are not superposed on each other on the recording paper. The color sensor is disposed and operated in accordance with the patterns of the color patches. The color patch on the detection face can be read without being affected by the chromaticity of the color patch on the back face. In addition, the color image forming apparatus has a means for selecting the position of the patch on the second face based upon information about the media, acquired by a means for inputting the information by a user or a detection means disposed in the apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
