<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connection box capable of being drastically downsized and being branched in multiple directions. <P>SOLUTION: The optical connection box includes: a branch connecting part 39 which connects a branch coated optical fiber 3a taken out from an introducing optical cable 3 with a target connecting coated optical fiber 5a; a hinged connection tray 36 on an upper level for housing an extra length; a hinged tray 31 for a transit coated optical fiber on a middle level for housing a merely transitional coated optical fiber 3b; and a fixed tray 24 for optical fiber distribution on a lower level for distributing/leading in a plurality of branching directions the connecting coated optical fiber 5a derived from the connection tray 36. The structure is not just for stacking the connection tray 36 and the tray 31 for a transit coated optical fiber, but for making a space in the lower level for the optical fiber distribution tray 24 to process for distributing the coated optical fiber 5a. Therefore, compared to one with side-by-side arrangement or with a mere two layer stack, this optical connection box can attain substantial miniaturization and can make three way branching possible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
