<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To random performance to generation of a scrambling key to improve secrecy of data by scrambling. <P>SOLUTION: A semiconductor memory 2 includes a memory array 26 and a scrambling/descrambling section 21. The scrambling/descrambling section 21 applies scrambling processing to read data Dtr read from the memory array to generate output data s0-s7, and applies descrambling processing to an input scrambled signal IO to generate a command Cmd for the memory array. In the scrambling/descrambling section 21, a method for generating keys q0-q7 to be used for scramble processing and or descrambling processing is updated, taking the opportunity in which at least two selected from among the scrambled signal IO, the command Cmd, the reading data Dtr and the output data s0-s7 meets predetermined conditions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
