PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical receiver which detects light which has a wide angle range and improving a light receiving element in reliability without making its physical size large, and also to provide a radar system equipped with the optical receiver.

SOLUTION: The optical receiver 100 comprises: a refractor 111 which allows light to be made incident from the outside such that the refraction angleθr of the incident light is smaller than the incident angleθi of the light; a first light receiving element 120 which is disposed on an incidence surface 111a of the refractor 111 such that its light receiving surface 121 faces the incidence surface 111a side; and a mirror 112 which is disposed on an opposing surface 111b of the refractor 111 being opposite to the incidence surface 111a and reflects at least a portion of light entering the refractor 111 through the incidence surface 111a toward the first light receiving element 120.
