PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic capacitor having a large capacitance. SOLUTION: In this solid electrolytic capacitor, a capacitor element 10 is buried in the inside of a rectangular parallelepiped armoring body 1 med of a resin composition containing an epoxy resin etc., and the capacitor element 10 is provided with an anode 11, a niobium oxide layer 12 formed on the anode 11, and a cathode 13 formed on the niobium oxide layer 12. The anode 11 consists of a porous sintered body formed by sintering niobium phosphide particles together with niobium particles and niobium alloy particles. One part of an anode lead 14 is buried in the anode 11, and an end of an anode terminal 15 is connected onto the anode lead 14 exposed from the anode 11.
