PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil component having an improved electrical line connection, where an improved line connection section is formed. SOLUTION: One end or the other end of a conductor 31 in a common mode filter 1 is clamped by a second piece section 57 and a second terminal section 54 of a terminal electrode 52 and is welded by laser beams, where they are melted by laser welding. A melt part 16A has an inflation section 16B inflated in a direction separated from a core. The inflation section 16B is in contact with only a farthest edge 30A in an insulation covering, thus prescribing the shape, position, and size of the inflation section 16B with the farthest edge 30A.
