PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch device for a vehicle capable of improving control accuracy when transmitting small power, while securing large transmission torque. SOLUTION: This invention has a flywheel 2, a clutch disc 24, an inner peripheral side pressure plate 30a and an outer peripheral side pressure plate 30b engaging the clutch disc with a flywheel side member, and has a diaphragm spring 40 applying a pressing load to the respective pressure plates and a clutch release mechanism 60, and presses the clutch disc only by any one pressure plate of the inner peripheral side pressure plate or the outer peripheral side pressure plate when transmitting the small power, and presses the clutch disc by both pressure plates of the inner peripheral side pressure plate and the outer peripheral side pressure plate when transmitting large power, by controlling power transmission force by position control of this clutch release mechanism.
