PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control device comprising one first plate mounted at its base end on one side in the fixed condition for relative displacement operation and a pair of second plates mounted at their base ends on another side in the fixed condition for holding the first plate on both sides, and a viscoelastic body provided between the plates for damping the relative displacement operation with the shearing deformation of the viscoelastic body, having a less number of components while reducing the longitudinal protrusion of mounting portions of the pair of second plates. SOLUTION: The pair of second plates 11, 11 are Z-shaped bent plates. Their plate portions 11a, 11a on the base end sides are put in an overlapping condition to be mounted on a mounting portion 15 of a lower rigid body 6 on another side with bolts 16.
