A plasma display panel and a plasma display apparatus therewith are provided to prevent warpage of substrate by enduring a load due to a sealing clip in a sealing process. A front substrate and a rear substrate are disposed opposite to each other in order to define a display region and a non-display region. Edges of the front and rear substrates are attached to each other. A main barrier rib(151) is formed to define display discharge cells which are positioned on the display region. A dummy barrier rib(161) is formed at non-display discharge cells which are positioned on the non-display region. A plurality of discharge electrodes are disposed between the front and rear substrates in order to cause discharges in the display discharge cells. A frit glass is attached to the front and rear substrates and is positioned at the outside of the dummy barrier rib. A groove is formed at the dummy barrier rib adjacent to the frit glass.
