<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a red light-emitting phosphor emitting light with high emission efficiency and high luminance, imparting good color rendering properties and suitable in a light-emitting device emitting white light using the red light-emitting phosphor, a green light-emitting phosphor and a blue light-emitting phosphor in combination and to provide the light-emitting device emitting white light with high luminance and good color rendering properties using the red light-emitting phosphor. <P>SOLUTION: The red light-emitting phosphor is represented by compositional formula (1) A<SB>(1-x)</SB>Eu<SB>(1-x-y)</SB>Ln<SB>y</SB>D<SB>2x</SB>M<SB>2</SB>O<SB>8</SB>(wherein, A is at least one kind selected from the group consisting of Li, Na, K, Rb and Cs; Ln is at least one kind selected from rare earth elements containing Y except Eu; D is at least one kind selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba; M is at least one kind selected from Mo and W; x is a positive number satisfying 0<x≤0.7; y is 0 or a positive number satisfying 0<y≤0.5; and 0<x+y≤0.7). Thereby, the red light-emitting phosphor exhibits high emission intensity with unconventionally high emission efficiency especially at a wavelength of about 400 nm and the light-emitting device more precisely emitting a delicate hue with good reproducibility and emitting white color or neutral color with higher luminance and good color rendering properties is obtained by especially using the red light-emitting phosphor with the green-light emitting phosphor and the blue-light emitting phosphor in combination in the light-emitting device emitting the white color or neutral color. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
