PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device capable of easily adding paper even if a paper feed tray is mounted in a device body. SOLUTION: This image recording device comprises a cover member 41 supported swingably between a closing position for closing a discharge port 10a and an opening position for opening the discharge port 10a. The image recording device further comprises a link mechanism 42 which when the cover member 41 is at the closing position, an arm member 6a is swung in the direction for separating a paper feed roller 6b from paper sheets P by swinging the cover member 41 and when the cover member is at the opening position, the paper feed roller 6b is brought into contact with the paper sheets P. Also, when the cover member 41 is at the opening position, the cover member 41 covers a paper feed tray 3 projecting to the outside of the device body. The link member 42 is swingably supported, swung when the cover member 41 is swung, and swings the arm member 6a in the direction for separating the paper feed roller 6b from the paper sheets P.
