PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin identification sensor and a coin identification device having high identification accuracy at low cost by improving assembling property. SOLUTION: Coin detecting parts 25X1 and 25Z formed by relatively arranging coin identification sensors 21A, 21B, 21C and 21D provided by linearly integrating three coin sensors with cores wound with coils in the direction of crossing the coin advancing direction of a coin passage are formed, and the first and the second coin detecting parts are sequentially provided in the coin passage 4. The coin identification device discriminates the authenticity from detection data of a coin diameter and material/thickness on the basis of sequentially obtained detection outputs from each of the coin detecting parts.
