PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component feeder with a mechanism which can follow up a change in a position where a component is fed to a mobile electrode and a change in a welding position. SOLUTION: A welding device 50 comprises a mobile electrode 12 and a movable electrode 14, and takes the position where the component 1 is fed to the mobile electrode 12 and the welding position where the component 1 is welded to a steel sheet 13 by turning the mobile electrode 12 from the feeding position. The component feeder 100 has a space controlling means 45 which spaces a feeding passage member 33 from the rotational transfer space 22 of the mobile electrode 12, a reciprocating drive means 49 which reciprocates a component retaining head 34 between the component receiving position and the position where the component is fed to the mobile electrode, a forward-backward drive means 38 which moves the retaining head 34 toward the mobile electrode, a reciprocating distance controlling means 59 which controls the distance between the receiving position and the feeding position, and a space controlling means 76 which controls the space between the retaining head 34 and the mobile electrode 12.
