PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press apparatus for a metallic member, which can work even a metallic member having a worked part such as a protrusion formed by burring or embossing on a part of a bending face, with good bending accuracy, and is suitable for mass production. SOLUTION: Upon lowering of an upper mold 1, a sliding face 4c of a swinging-type curved blade 4 in the upper mold 1 is slid on a regulating face 7a in an active mechanism part 7 of a lower mold 5 while coming in contact with the regulating face 7a at a proper pushing pressure. Accordingly, the swinging-type curved blade 4 is swingingly moved along the regulating face 7a toward a stationary curved blade 8 provided in the lower mold 5, and pressing work is carried out in such a state that the metallic member is inserted into between the swinging-type curved blade 4 and the stationary curved blade 8. In pressing, the protrusion-shaped worked part formed on the bending face is received in a relief part 4d provided in a pressing face 4b in the swinging-type curved blade 4.
