PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent carpet having an evacuation/guide sign by light-storing pigments being inconspicuous under a bright ordinary state and becoming visible only after emitting fluorescence in darkness in power failure emergency, preventing peeling and removal by being worn by soles, and having both of decorativeness as an interior material and abrasion resistance as a floor material. SOLUTION: The light-storing pigments are interposed between pile fiber tips 13 and a base cloth 15 of a pile layer of this carpet which consists of a pile cloth formed of the pile layer 11 and the base cloth 15 gripping/locking the lower ends of piles 14. The light-storing pigments are kneaded in fiber polymers and prepared into fluorescent fibers, alternatively, the light-storing pigments are mixed with binder resin to be prepared into the liquid light-storing composition, which is laminated on the base sheet 18 into a fluorescent sheet 17 and the fluorescent sheet is interposed between the pile fiber tips 13 and the base cloth 15.
