The invention relates to a backing paper comprising a coating that is app lied thereto and is used for absorbing ink which is applied to a fabric or a coating of a hard substrate in thermal sublimation processes, the fabric/th e coating being formed by a polyester-containing synthetic material. The bac king paper is in direct contact with the fabric or the coating of the hard s ubstrate during transfer. The coating of the inventive backing paper is prov ided with a semisynthetic polymer that has thermoplastic properties. Ghostin g in such a backing paper can be permanently prevented without negatively in fluencing primary parameters such as the printability, drying, and transfer property of the backing paper. |
