<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the optical axis of an on-vehicle camera at a high frequency even during a travel of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A feature point or feature line is extracted from imaging information on a road sign on a road to obtain a parameter for optical axis correction of the on-vehicle camera. A calibration device includes the on-vehicle camera 1, a camera parameter calculating unit 23 which calculates a camera parameter consisting of the installation height and angle of the on-vehicle camera 1 during photography from the feature quantity of the road sign 5, and a camera parameter correcting unit 25 which performs optical axis correction control over the on-vehicle camera 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
