<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise recording sensitivity, durability, and reproducing property in a ROM type optical disk which performs write once recording by transforming an edge section of a pit in a land/pit array by irradiating it with a recording laser beam. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical disk, a reflection film 4 which comprises an alloy of AlFeX which makes Al as a principal component and containing any one or more sorts of Ti, Cu, Au, Pt and Si as X is deposited on a disk substrate 1 which is formed by continuation of a land 2 and a pit 3, and a protective layer 5 is formed thereon. Write once recording by bit shift is performed by causing transformation of an edge section of the pit by irradiating it with the laser beam.
