PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a laser scanning optical apparatus that is constituted simply and can be manufactured at low cost. SOLUTION: The laser scanning optical apparatus is equipped with a light source for radiating a laser beam, a deflector for deflecting the laser beam, and an optical element 4a (4b) for guiding the deflected laser beam to a surface to be scanned. An elastic member 6 for pressurizing and fixing the optical element 4a (4b) is mounted on a housing 15, by making an engaging hole 64 fitted to an elastic member fixing part (engaging part) 51 of a post 52 installed at the housing, wherein the tip end portion 63 of the elastic member 6 presses and closes the orifice 50 of the housing 15. Furthermore, by inserting the optical element 4a (4b) between the elastic member 6 and the post 53 of the housing 15, the optical element 4a (4b) is pressurized with a projection 65 of the part 61 and fixed.
