PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of reducing influence due to contamination by toner on the inner peripheral surface side of a belt body, arranged adjacent to an image carrier on the surface of which a toner image is formed and is capable of moving around in a circle. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 has the belt body 51 arranged adjacent to the image carrier 1, on the surface of which the toner image is formed and capable of moving around in a circle; a rotating body 56, arranged on the inner peripheral surface side of the belt body 51 and rotating with the movement of the belt body 51; a bias output means 58 outputting bias inducing a current flowing in a circuit via the rotating body 57; and a cleaning member 91 removing the toner from the surface of the rotating body 56.
