PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a range switching operation device capable of easily changing an operating reaction force given in operating operation means. SOLUTION: When a shift lever is operated from a reference position to a D-position, an interval between a magnet 10 and a first coil 22D is gradually reduced, while a reaction force between the magnet 10 and the first coil 22D becomes gradually large. Also, the reaction force is decided by an electric resistance value of a variable resistor 21D, i.e., a rotary operation position of an adjusting knob. The shift lever is operated against such a reaction force, and therefore, at the time of shifting, the operating reaction force is given to the shift lever according to the reaction force, and a tactile feeling is given to an operator of the shift lever.
