A magnetic quick-release buckle comprises a male unit (1) and a female unit (2), a fastening device for fastening the buckle to a strap being arranged on the male unit (1) or the female unit (2). The male unit (1) is configured in such manner that it can be inserted into the female unit (2), at least one ferromagnetic armature being provided on the male unit (1) and at least one magnet on the female unit (2). In the pulled condition, the magnet and the armature are opposite in a magnet/armature plane and a magnetic pulling force F is applied which corresponds to the holding force required to hold the male unit in the female unit (2). A release device (3) displaces the armature relative to the magnet in the magnet/armature plane until the magnetic pulling force F is sufficiently small for the magnetic quick-release buckle to be released. |
