The steering wheel has a steering wheel rim (12), and a spoke connecting the steering wheel rim and a hub, where the steering wheel rim has a rim sleeve that consists of a skeleton (20) and a plastic part (22) connected with the skeleton. An outer skin (26) surrounds the rim sleeve, where the outer skin consists of a compact or foamed polyurethane-casting elastomer in a layer thickness of between 0.3 mm and 5 mm, where the polyurethane casting elastomer is ultraviolet-resistant and scratch resistant. The plastic part is made of polyamide, polyurethane, polypropylene and polyethylene. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a steering wheel for a motor vehicle.
