TRANSMITTER, RECEIVER, TRANSMISSION/RECEPTION SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING RETRANSMISSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet-signal retransmission system for efficiently transmitting retransmission packets in accordance with the propagation-path condition in a packet communication system in which packets that cannot have been received at a receiving station are retransmitted from a transmitting station by changing modulation parameters of the transmission signal so as to be adaptive to the propagation-path condition.

SOLUTION: The packet-signal retransmission system is so constructed that a propagation-path-condition comparison section is provided in a base station (transmitting station), wherein the propagation-path condition or the modulation parameter in transmitting a new packet and the propagation-path condition or the modulation parameter in transmitting the retransmission packet are compared, and according to the comparison result, the modulation parameter for the retransmission packet is changed.
