<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temper rolling method and its equipment by which the desired surface roughness (Ra) and PPI of a metallic strip are efficiently manufactured as to the temper rolling method. <P>SOLUTION: In a method of performing the temper rolling of the metallic strip having upper and lower yield points with a temper rolling mill on the inlet side and the outlet side of which a tension imparting means is installed, the coefficient of friction and elongation percentage of a rolling stand, inlet-side tension and outlet-side tension are detected and also the average surface roughness (Ra) and PPI of the rolled metallic strip are measured on the downstream side of the temper rolling mill, by adjusting two or more of any of the coefficient of friction and the elongation percentage of the temper rolling mill, the inlet-side tension and the outlet-side tension by using a regression expression which expresses the relationship among the coefficient of friction, the elongation percentage, the inlet-side tension and the outlet-side tension about Ra and PPI which is obtained preliminarily by an experiment on the basis of the deviation between the target values of the desired roughness and PPI and the measured values, Ra and PPI are controlled to the desired values. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
