PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a matter that initialization of a wireless LAN apparatus requires a dedicated hardware button or sending back to the factory, and thereby it takes cost and time; and to provide a wireless LAN apparatus which can be initialized simply within a predetermined time after turn on power. SOLUTION: The wireless LAN apparatus comprises a screen for exclusive use of initialization including an initialization screen for inputting a designation of initialization which can be browsed from a web browser. When the screen for exclusive use of initialization is accessed from the web browser of a personal computer 2 within a preset predetermined time after turning on power, and information is authenticated for log-in inputted from the personal computer 2; an initialization preparation means 13 in a control unit makes the personal computer 2 display the initialization screen.
