SHEET FEEDER, METHOD OF CONTROLLING IT, AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE WITH THE SHEET FEEDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem with conventional lift-up control wherein the control is complicated since a time required for feeding sheets is long and a processing for storing the rise time counted by a timer is required. SOLUTION: When a sheet loading part is moved from a sheet supplementing position to a sheet feed position where sheets can be fed by a feed means, a sheet feeder is continuously driven until it is detected (On in S2) that the sheet loading part reaches a predetermined position other than the feeding position. The sheet feeder is intermittently driven until it is detected (Off in S5) that the sheet loading part is moved to the feeding position after the detection (S4, S6). COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
