PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an article to be smoothly inserted in a carton under a correct posture in a cartoner for which a layout wherein the article is pushed out above the carton, and the article is lowered as it is and inserted in the carton, is required. SOLUTION: A shutter 110 which can slide in the horizontal direction is arranged above the carton 101 of which the upper surface is open. A shutter driving device 111 moves the shutter 110 between an advancing position where the carton 101 is covered, and an evacuated position where the carton 101 is exposed. A vacuum-suction type transferring and loading chuck 120 which is arranged above the shutter 110 sucks an article 2 which has been pushed out by a pushing out device onto the shutter located at the advancing position, and rises. Then, the shutter 110 is retracted, and the transferring and loading chuck 120 descends and inserts the article 2 into the carton 101. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
