PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable accurately mounting an auxiliary knob by preventing a welding margin of a skin from being caught in the auxiliary knob, in a the auxiliary knob mounting method and a mounting device, to downsize the mounting device, and to save labor. SOLUTION: A welding margin 212a of a sun visor surface skin 212 laid over a wire frame 213 to which the auxiliary knob is positioned at a position deviated by a predetermined angle in regard to the fitting surface of semi-cylindrical elements 24a, 24b of the auxiliary knob 24, and subjected to ultrasonic welding processing, thereby accurately mounting the auxiliary knob 24. At this time, a setting tool 40 in the mounting device 30 is set on a tilting surface tilting downward on a front side, and set in a tilting shape so as not to make a set surface orthogonal to the mounting direction of an ultrasonic horn 50 to prevent the surface skin 212 from being caught in the auxiliary knob 24. A depth is shortened to make the device compact, and a conventional put-out mechanism can be abolished. Therefore, downsizing and labor saving are enabled. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
