PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device connecting method that can complete use preparation in a short time in reconnecting device equipment used once. SOLUTION: When host equipment 1 reads device specification information from the device equipment 2, identification information of the device equipment 2 and device specification information are correspondingly stored in a storage part 8 of a storage device 6. At a point of time when the host equipment 1 detects reconnection of the device equipment 2 to an interface 10, the host equipment 1 reads identification information of the device equipment 2 and determines whether the identification information is stored in the storage part 8, and if stored, mounts the device equipment 2 applying the device specification information stored in the storage part 8 corresponding to the identification information.
