PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an inspection work more efficiently by speeding up an inspection process on an inspecting object plate such as a liquid crystal panel. SOLUTION: The image inspection device performs inspection by processing an image of the inspecting object plate obtained by photographing it with a camera. This inspection device is equipped with: a plurality of image processors for taking in image data on the object plate obtained by photographing it with the camera and processing the data to inspect image quality, etc.; an image allotter for severally portioning out the image data on the object plate obtained by photographing it with the camera among the plurality of image processors; a carrying part for thereon mounting the object plate carried from the exterior into the device and taking out the object plate already inspected to carry it out to the exterior; and a control part for causing the carrying part to start motion while switching the image allotter after the image taking-in is completed at the image processors.
