An electrical component having a contact terminal portion arranged in a generally trapezoid shape is provided to improve transmission quality in differential transmission by providing the same section to a differential pair of signal contact members for an entire area. A connector includes contacts each having a contact portion placed on a contact portion side of the connector for connection to a mating connector and having a terminal portion placed on a terminal portion side for connection to a connection object. The contacts include plural signal contact members(14) for forming plural pairs and include plural ground contact members(15) arranged with spaces left therebetween. On the contact portion side, the pairs of the signal contact members are respectively placed in the spaces. On the terminal portion side, the signal contact members and the ground contact members are separately arranged on parallel rows. The pairs of the signal contact members respectively face on the spaces.
