<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for managing the alteration of assignment to various disturbances which possibly occur up to the day, on which business operations are conducted, after the assignment plan is prepared. <P>SOLUTION: A computer 1 is provided with a storage part 120 which stores assignment data which include at least data on the number of persons to be assigned each of seats, and their use periods. The computer reads out the assignment data from the storage part 120 and displays the data on a display part 150 in response to the reception of an operation, which requests the display of the assignment data, from a user together with the designation of seats and periods. The computer receives, from the user, an operation for the designation of seats to be altered, number of persons and altered seats, refers to the assignment data stored in the storage part 120, and determines whether the seats posterior to the received alteration are usable.
