<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical sound controller capable of generating musical sound accompanied with a pitch change by operation which matches playing feeling, and a program. <P>SOLUTION: Positions of right and left directions of player's hands and fingers are recognized by imaging them by two cameras installed in the vicinity of both ends of a keyboard, and by applying predetermined image recognition processing on each image data which are converted to digital data. For example, when the position of the hands is recognized by the unit of the hand, firstly, a region in right and left directions is recognized, and then, one point (a center or an end etc.) in the recognized region is recognized as the position of the right and left directions of the hand, and the musical sound with pitch change is output for each tone nearest to the position.
