摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine capable of improving the engine output performance avoiding degradation of reliability of the internal combustion engine and a supercharger. <P>SOLUTION: The device is applied to an internal combustion engine equipped with a turbocharger. An actual supercharging pressure PM adjusted by the turbocharger is limited by a maximum supercharging pressure PMmax. Operation control of a fuel injection mechanism is executed so that the fuel injection quantity set corresponding to an engine operating condition is limited by a maximum injection quantity Qmax and the fuel quantity corresponding to the limited fuel injection quantity is supplied. An atmospheric pressure is detected and the maximum supercharging pressure Pmax is set based on the detected atmospheric pressure.
