PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic wave shielding mesh for shielding a leakage of the electromagnetic wave arranged in front of the display body of a PDP (a plasma display panel) and an FED (a field emission display) or the like, having an excellent optical transparency and the electromagnetic shielding performance without generating a moire and a mottled brightness corresponding to the display body having various pixel pitches. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic wave shielding mesh is woven by a fiber thread with a conductivity given through the formation of a metal coating on the surface of the fiber thread. The proportion R of a weft thread density to a warp thread density of the mesh is 0.67≤R≤0.97 or 1.03≤R≤1.50. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
