PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pressure release valve provided in a sealing plate for aluminum electrolytic capacitor and having a function for sustaining high airtightness when internal pressure rise is minute, for accelerating slow leak when internal pressure rise is quick, and for opening the valve when the internal pressure rises rapidly. SOLUTION: The pressure release valve is made of elastomer such as silicon rubber, and has a substantially tubular shape provided with a thin portion at one end. The pressure release valve is provided with a central valve body, a flange on the outer circumference at the closed end, and a thick portion on the outer circumference at the open end. A sealing plate is clamped by the flange and the thick portion, and a groove for slow leak extending halfway in the direction of hole axis is provided in the valve body. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
