PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a composition for treating failure accompanying a physiological stigma associated with retinoid. SOLUTION: The composition for treating type-I or II diabetes in a mammal is provided. The composition contains an effective amount of the first compound, which can regulate the level or activity of serum RBP retinol-binding protein or TTR (transthyretin) in the mammal, and is suitable for administration.
