PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin molded article with a high quality feeling in which a three-dimensional pattern is formed on the surface by a simple method such as coating and deposition and the pattern is formed see-through on the back surface, and a method for treating its surface for forming the three-dimensional pattern with the high quality feeling on the surface of the resin. SOLUTION: The resin molded article, for example, a container for a cosmetic, is composed of a substrate made of a transparent resin, an opaque coating film provided on positions except positions becoming a pattern part on the back surface of the substrate, a transparent resin material provided on the positions becoming the pattern part on the back surface of the substrate, and a semi-reflective film laminated on the transparent resin material. On the resin molded article, the pattern part can be seen floated up from the back surface of the substrate. Namely, the reflective pattern part is conspicuous in the coating film of a dark color system, and in addition, an optical illusion is generated from a difference in refractive indexes of the substrate and the transparent resin material, and it looks as if the semi-reflective film could exist on the upper side of the substrate, to bring a high class feeling to the container.
