PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems such as occurring an error in the clamping position of the workpiece caused by a play due to abrasion and vibrating the workpiece when machining the clamped workpiece in the structure of a jaw part of a work vise, in especially, the improvement of the structure tilting the jaw according to the inclination of a clamping object face of a workpiece. SOLUTION: This jaw structure tiltably supports a front face member by the slidable abutment between a projecting arc face 12 of the back face of the front face member 1 positioned in the workpiece side and a recessed arc face 22 of the front face of a back face member 2, and restricts the vertical position of the front face member 1 by the fitting of an arc groove 21 and an arc rib 11 provided between the front face member 1 and the back face member 2; the recessed/projecting arc faces 22 and 12 are defined as inclined arc faces (conical surfaces) in the direction of generating a component force in the direction of downward pushing and moving (a base side of the vise) the front face member 1 by the clamping reaction acting from the front face member 1 to the back face member 2.
