<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propulsion device for an outboard motor capable of performing circulation of a lubricant of a bevel gear mechanism attachment part of a propeller shaft and a bearing part without causing large size of a lower case. <P>SOLUTION: An oil passage 49c axially extending from the bevel gear mechanism attachment part 14b attached with a bevel gear mechanism 13 of the propeller shaft 14 to a neighborhood to a propeller shaft pivotal support portion pivotally supported by the bearing 43, further radially extending and opened to a neighborhood to the bearing 43 is formed on the propeller shaft 14. The propulsion device is provided with an oil circulation system 49 for circulating the lubricant b between an opening 49a' in an upstream side of the bevel gear mechanism attachment part 14b and an opening 49b' in a downstream side at a neighborhood to the bearing 43 through the oil passage 49c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
