<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow temperature of a head in a thermal printing method hard to readily reach maximum guarantee temperature even when an erasing or printing operation is performed on a plurality of rewritable media. <P>SOLUTION: This rewrite printer comprises an erasing section 301 for performing the erasing operation by heating rewritable paper P conveyed in a paper path 106 and a printing section 401 for performing the thermal printing operation, respectively provided to the upstream side and the downstream side in the paper path 106, and monitors the temperature of the head in the printing section 401 by using a detection value of a head temperature sensor. When the temperature of the head reaches a first specified value which is lower than the maximum guarantee temperature, the erasing or printing operation to the rewritable paper P is intermittently performed between the precedent rewrite paper P and the succeeding rewrite paper P. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
