<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce rattling noise and meshing noise in an electric power steering device. <P>SOLUTION: In the electric power steering device 1, an output power of an electric motor 18 is transmitted to a steering mechanism 5 sequentially through a drive gear 25, an intermediate gear 26, and a driven gear 27. The intermediate gear 26 is moved in parallel and adjusted in position by an eccentric mechanism 53 with respect to the central axis lines 25a, 27a of the drive gear 25 and the driven gear 27. The eccentric mechanism 53 includes an intermediate gear support shaft 46 which is supported in an inlet opening 34h and a support hole 34i of a housing body 31 so that the turning position can be adjusted. The intermediate gear support shaft 46 has an eccentric part 58c eccentric to a central axis line 46d, and the intermediate gear 26 is supported in the eccentric part 58c. Since a backlash can be adjusted, the occurrence of the rattling noise can be suppressed. Since the inclinations of the respective gears 25, 26, 27 are hardly generated, the meshing noise can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
