PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output the display data of the other light emitting means connected to the outside from a display controller of a fluorescent display apparatus. SOLUTION: The display data outputted from a driving control circuit 10 (display controller) for driving the fluorescent display apparatus is held as parallel data in a shift register 11 and a latch circuit 12. The data outputted from gate circuits A1 to Ak are displayed in a fluorescent display element 14 in which a blanking period is set, and the second display data outputted from gate circuits Ak+1 to An are supplied to a selector 16, and are outputted as the control data of the other light emitting source. The second display data can be outputted at the luminance different from that of the fluorescent display element 14 by a port changeover signal supplied to the selector 16.
