CLEANING MECHANISM FOR LIGHT TRANSMITTING MEMBER FOR LASER SCANNER UNIT AND LASER SCANNER UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely clean a light transmitting member by preventing intrusion of dust or toner from outside. SOLUTION: A cleaning mechanism is provided with a cleaning part 30 cleaning a surface of dust proof glass transmitting light from a laser scanner unit (LSU) drawing an electrostatic latent image on a photoreceptor drum by using light for scanning and a moving part 310 moving the cleaning part 30 along the surface of the dust proof glass. The cleaning part 30 is provided with; a blade member 301 which is shaped in an inclined plate and has an edge part 12 in contact with the dust proof glass 300; a side wall member 10 and a back wall member 11 provided so that all parts or one part of a space between the blade member 301 and a principal surface 300 including the surface of the dust proof glass 300 facing the blade member 301 is shielded from outside; and a holding member 302 holding the blade member 301, the side wall member 10 and the back wall member 11 and driven by a moving part 310.
