PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent molds and other bacteria from propagating on the surface of a vaporizer of a heat pump without deteriorating the performance of a clothes dryer. SOLUTION: Dew condensation of the vaporizer can be removed by nearly fully opening a throttle valve when the drive of the heat pump stops to allow inflow of hot cooling medium from a condenser into the vaporizer and increase the temperature of the vaporizer. Consequently the dew condensation of the vaporizer after the drive of the heat pump stops can be removed without incorporating a part of a condenser pipe into the vaporizer, and thus the propagation of molds and other bacteria on the surface of the vaporizer of the heat pump can be prevented without deteriorating no performance of the clothes dryer.
