GROWTH BASE MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a growth base material to enable air pressure feed thereof while prevented from volume change or cracks caused by dry shrinkage even when the material uses fillers contained in raw paper sludge as main material, and to be capable of improvement in blowing efficiency in accordance with reduction in unit volume weight, securement of an amount of air in the growth base after sprayed, and improvement in water retention/fertilizer retention: and to provide a method for producing the material. SOLUTION: The growth base material is obtained through using fillers contained in raw paper sludge as main material, and adding a mixture of high-molecular water-absorbing polymer, polymer coagulant, peat moss and vermiculite. The mixing ratio of the mixture is as follows: 0.2-0.7 m3of the water, 0.2-5 kg of the polymer coagulant, 2-15 kg of the high-molecular water-absorbing polymer, 250-1,000 L of the peat moss and 0-750 L of the vermiculite based on 0.1 m3of the paper sludge (true specific gravity volume).
