PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bumper structure for an automobile capable of making a bumper reinforcement to light weight and suppressing reduction of strength/rigidity of the bumper reinforcement. SOLUTION: The bumper reinforcement 10 is provided with a beam member 20; a plate member 30; and a plurality of upper end joint parts and lower end joint parts 45 for joining mutual upper ends and lower ends of the beam member 20 and the plate member 30 at a plurality of positions in a vehicle width direction respectively. A plurality of opening parts 35 are formed on the plate member 30 at an appropriate interval in the vehicle width direction, and a plurality of bead parts 36 extending between the adjacent opening parts 35 so as to connect the respective upper end joint parts 40 and the respective lower end joint parts 45 corresponding to these respectively are formed.
